An interview with Stress

In today's hustle bustle world, Stress is an almost constant companion bringing friends like worry and fear to kill all hope of any peace, steal joy, and destroy the abundant life God intended for His children. Hear today what Stress has to say.stress-954814_640
"Good morning Stress, thank you for agreeing to talk to me."
"I am feeling a little anxious about this interview."
"Do not be anxious about anything, I am here to put you at your ease."
"I am not sure why you have asked me to talk to you."
"Stress, it is important that I get to know you better, so that I can help you. What do you think are the main problems for you at the moment?"
"Well, that is a loaded question. I have problems with heavy burdens, such as family, work, money issues, and trust to name a few."
"Talk to me of your heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."stations-of-the-cross-460271_640
"I worry about the past, the present and the future."
"Well, Stress, I say to you, do not be anxious about tomorrow. Live in the present as you can do nothing about the past. I am here to walk with you today... Tomorrow will take care of itself.
"I can't help fretting about my family. It is such a bad world out there. My insides cramp and give me such pain as I ponder on such things."
"I can see that you are weighed down with your anxieties. Give them to me, and I will give you peace."
"You want my anxieties?"
"Of course, Stress, I am on your side. I don't want you to be crippled by your fears."
"But if you take them away, what will I worry about? I mean, my full name Stress Full is my response to the events of the day."
"I want you to be strong and courageous. To take a step forward in faith."
"I am not sure I can do that. It sounds really frightening."
Your anxieties will not add any more days to your life. They will not solve the issues you are worried about. Are you really prepared to hold tight to your worries and allow them to govern your life for the worse?"holzfigur-980802_640
"You make it sound so easy."
"No, Stress. It is not easy, and I don't want to belittle the handicap that this disease causes. I want to give you a life-line. Will you hand over the hold that this has on you?"
"Will you hold my hand each step of the way?"
Yes, Stress. I will be your fortress and strength. I will not only hold your hand, but I will carry you when things get tough. You will never be alone. From now on, if you feel panicked, talk to me. Let me know your requests. I will hear you supplications. Then I want you to pour out thanksgiving over the meal of life."
"Then what you have said... Be done."
Thank you, Stress. From this day forward, you will now be known by the full name of Peace Full.
