A bit of fun

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All are equal.

If you believe in God the Father and God the Son then you equally must believe in God the Holy Spirit. However often the power of the Holy Spirit is put to one side. But His power is awesome.

We are reminded to "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Matt 28:19

We are given Grace and Love and Fellowship in abundance from the Trinity.
2 Cor. 13:14 "The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all."

There is one body and one Spirit. Which we are all part of. Eph. 4:4-6 "There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one Hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all."

As we turn our eyes to God and allow Him to reside in us as Lord of our life the Spirit becomes active in us. 2 Cor. 3:16-18 "but whenever a man turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, and being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

With this awesome power of the Holy Spirit, God through his Son gives us freedom. Freedom to be His healers, His prophets, His teachers, His leaders, His peacemakers, His counselors, His servants, His miracle workers, His language speakers.

1 Cor. 12:1-11 "Now, dear brothers and sisters, regarding your question about the special abilities the Spirit gives us. I don’t want you to misunderstand this. You know that when you were still pagans, you were led astray and swept along in worshiping speechless idols. So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord.  God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.
A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing.  He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have."

As believers our hands need to be ever open to the gifts of the Spirit as God wants us to be active in our service of Him. But before we can truly receive His gifts we must kneel before Him and ask for the highest gift of all. Love. Without this none of our actions or deeds will count as anything.

1 Cor. 13:1-13 'If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn't love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn't love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn't love others, I would have gained nothing.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud  or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.  It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!  Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!  But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.
When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.  Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Faith, Hope and Love, the Trinity. God has three person in One. If we leave out the One we cannot be in complete unity with the Father. We are spiritual beings and by allowing the Spirit to be active in us we become One with the Father. If we want to last forever then we need to be one with Love.

Father I pray that I am not a clanging cymbal, clashing out of tune with Your Love. I pray that my service to You is in harmony with Your Will. Grant me Your love that does not judge others but brings them closer to Your Kingdom. May I be respectful of Your work in others and only draw from Your well of salvation, so that I see the Glory that You are doing for Your creation.

In You I am a unique creation. A one off. Grant me Your Salvation of my thoughts, deeds and actions.

God bless.
